Any chance of supporting IMAP accounts too? This would be really useful to me if that were possible.

Great utility, but what exactly is exported ? Does this include:
- Address books
- Rules (filters)
- Signatures/identities

I'm sure you are working on making it compatible and i'm impatient to have it ;0)
A good evolution would be to be able to select several accounts at the same time, instead of exporting/importing each one which can be quite repetitive.
Thank you for that great extension :0)

Might I suggest amending your project description on the front page to say more than "A powerful extension to export and import the account settings." to make it more explicit.
Perhaps adding "for Thunderbird 1.0.x and Thunderbird 1.5" or whatever applications you're supporting.

i use Tb Version 1.5RC2 - an i have moved the complete Profile to another directory.

In the mode "copy a single account" i can pickup an account, the i can chosse i place to copy and when i click OPK, nothing happens. Zero File copied.

When i click on "all" the extension open the windows to locate the dest. dir an just nothing is copied.

The older Version 0.2x works so far.

kind regards

Same behaviour as Helmut described BUT if the rdf-files already exist the extension works and exports all accounts which already have an rdf-file.

But there is still NO SUPPORT FOR SMTP, right? Any plans when smtp-support will be implemented?

Which lines in the RDF file are checked by accountex to determine that an existing account is tried to be imported which results in denial of the import.
I'd like to change these lines manually to create new accounts which are identical with the exception of the account name and e-mail address.

accountex is a great tool and and enhancing it by a "export as template" function for aforementioned purpose would be highly appreciated.

this extension is the best idea i see in time.
why thunderbird dont have an export menu? its strange..

i try the extension multilingual, but add a comand line in the statusbar, and no one menu item. So i deinstall, and install the beta version. that one show me the menu in german, and the popups windows, but dont export anything. i try to select one account, and with the alle &X+x'"- option too. but dont work for me.
so, i tell you...
move foward!!
i want ur extension working in my client! : )

Echt gutes Addon.
